Attend the Kinnikinnick Native Plant Society's event at the Sandpoint library to hear Jennifer Ekstrom, North Idaho Director for the Idaho Conservation League, present on ICL’s North Idaho Lakes and Waters Program. The presentation will cover the challenges facing North Idaho’s waters, including shoreline development, mine pollution, and threats to water quality, as well as the importance of preserving the health of our fisheries and aquatic ecosystems.
Learn about Idaho Conservation League’s goal to restore and protect North Idaho waters, conserve their native biodiversity, and ensure they remain swimmable, fishable, and safe. Discover how ICL works to protect the lakes and waters of north Idaho from degradation, pollution, and inadequate land-use regulation while advocating for policies that safeguard them. You will also learn about Northern Idaho’s Water Quality Monitoring program and how you can become a water steward!
