From Mining to Mitigation: A Science Pub- Coeur d'Alene, ID

  • Vantage Point Brewing 208 East Coeur D'Alene Lake Drive Coeur d'Alene, ID, 83814 United States (map)

Join Idaho Conservation League for a science pub at Vantage Point Brewing for an evening exploring the history of mining in the Silver Valley and pollution in the CDA Basin. Learn about ICL’s latest efforts with current mines and ongoing cleanup efforts in the area to protect our water. Kick off the night with trivia, hear from our team, and learn how you can get involved!

What is a science pub? Based on the Science Cafe model developed in Europe in the 1990s, ICL is pleased to present science pubs as a fun way to bring educators, scientists, presenters and the public together. No RSVP or scientific background is required. Just bring your curiosity, sense of humor, and an appetite for drinks and knowledge!

The event kicks off at 5:30pm PT with a trivia warm up (with prizes!) and the presentation will begin at 6:15pm PT. Cheers!
