Pesticide Stewardship Partnership Program: Understanding the Pesticide Problem in Montana’s Waterways - Sandpoint, ID
Join ICL in attending a presentation put on by Kinnikinnick Native Plant Society and Dr. Rachel Malison at the library, to learn about her pioneering water monitoring program focusing on the headwaters of the Columbia River Basin. This program seeks to understand the extent and effects of water contamination on the watershed. You can join in person or via zoom. Come socialize at 9:30, with the presentation starting at 10am PT.

Paddling the Owyhees - McCall, ID
Over 300 miles of rivers in the Owyhee Canyonlands are protected under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. Protected river sections include the famous Jarbidge, Bruneau and Owyhee rivers.
The best way to celebrate the Owyhee Canyonlands is to float one of the Wild and Scenic Rivers! The second best way to celebrate is to join us at this upcoming event. John Robison, Idaho Conservation League’s public lands director, will provide an overview of the Owyhee Canyonlands, describe the character of different river stretches, and offer logistics advice for planning your own adventures. John will also describe the Owyhee Initiative’s collaborative approach to crafting these protections.
Tour of the Reserves - Come hike with ICL! - Boise, ID
Get to know your backyard as the City of Boise’s Foothills Learning Center and Idaho Conservation League team up to offer short hiking “tours” of the city-owned natural reserves. This introduction to Boise’s trails is for everyone and hikes are never more than three miles. Come experience Boise’s trails, flora and fauna, and learn etiquette for future trail exploration!
In March, we will be checking out Camel’s Back Trails! Come discover what’s behind the hill, listen to the red winged blackbirds, and learn more about this amazing trail system. Registration is required.
Idaho Conservation League’s Northern Lakes and Waters Program - Sandpoint, ID
Join Kinnickinick Native Plant Society at the East Bonner County Library to hear Jennifer Ekstrom, ICL’s North Idaho Director, present on the North Idaho Lakes and Waters program. Northwest Power Council Hearing & Pre-Meeting - Boise, ID
The Northwest Power and Conservation Council is updating its five-year Fish and Wildlife Program, a regional plan to address the impacts of hydropower operations on endangered native fish in the Columbia and Snake rivers, and is hosting public hearings as part of the process. Learn more here.
