The Idaho Conservation League is hosting a water quality steward training for our water quality monitoring program that takes place every summer from June-September on Lake Pend Oreille.
During this training session, you will learn:
what parameters ICL samples/tests for and what they indicate
How to use a vertical sampling device to collect a water sample
How to take a surface water sample
How to use a Secchi disk to determine appropriate sampling depth
What this data can be used for
What the data tells us about the health of our lake

Water bottle

Camping chair if desired
Appropriate attire for water sampling
* This training is open to the public, and you are encouraged to attend if you are interested in our water quality monitoring program!
* Volunteer water quality stewards are required to attend a training session
