Caitlyn Embree
Community Engagement Specialist
Caitlyn grew up in Austin, Texas, spending her childhood swimming in the creeks and natural springs of the Texas Hill Country, where she fell in love with nature. She earned a B.S. in Geography, Resource, and Environmental Studies from Texas State University, with a minor in Anthropology. No stranger to North Idaho, Caitlyn has spent every summer (and nearly every winter) since she was 16 in Sandpoint. After graduating in 2024, Caitlyn made the official move and found her home amongst the trees!
Caitlyn joined ICL in 2026 as our North Idaho Community Engagement Specialist.
In her free time, you can find Caitlyn reading, thrifting, hiking, and spending time with her dog and cat. In the summer, you can find Caitlyn road-tripping, camping, and exploring Idaho!
A former barista and self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur, she’s always on the lookout for a great cup of coffee. Her favorite quintessential North Idaho experience is a forested hike with a water feature.
