Official Legislative Site

Senator Dan Foreman (R-Viola) introduced Senate Bill 1231 in the Senate Resources and Environment Committee. This bill closes a loophole by prohibiting individuals with outstanding fines from receiving hunting, fishing, or trapping licenses.

The bill was amended by the full Senate to include a provision suspending any Lifetime License Holders.

ICL supports the bill. It should be clear to courts and potential poachers that if you violate wildlife laws, you lose the privilege to hunt, fish, or trap.
