An ICL tradition

Each year since the early 1980’s, members, staff, board, and partners of the Idaho Conservation League gather for Wild Idaho!, a three-day gathering on the shores of Redfish Lake to discuss progress, challenges, and accomplishments towards a our mission. It’s an incredible opportunity to connect with friends and celebrate the conservation achievements, all while enjoying the stunning natural scenery of the Sawtooths.

Speakers and panelists dive deep on environmental issues of the day, and attendees explore the breathtaking beauty of region through field trip excursions, including late night stargazing (the weather rarely cooperates), geology explorations, early morning wolf watching (meet at the lodge at 6 a.m!), historical tours, photo workshops, and more. We also celebrate with annual awards recognizing leadership in conservation, journalism, public service, and youth advocacy, and cap it all off with a banquet and live auction, capped off with the Jump in the Lake fundraiser for staff willing to brave the chilly waters of Redfish Lake!

The event usually occurs on the weekend before Memorial Day in May. For more info, keep an eye on the ICL events page, as limited space at the lodge means the event sells out quickly each year.
