Cynthia Gibson

Government Relations Associate

Cynthia joined the Idaho Conservation League team at the start of 2025, working on state and federal policy under the Government Relations Director. She engages with partners to preserve Idaho’s clean water, air and land.

Cynthia came out to Idaho in 1989 to ski in Sun Valley, followed by a move to Idaho in 1991. She ended up staying in Idaho for the last 34 years because of the miles of mountain biking trails, hiking, camping, and all the amazing winter sports Idaho has to offer.

For the last 11 years, Cynthia was the Executive Director at the Idaho Walk Bike Alliance. At this statewide active transportation nonprofit, she got her feet wet (pun intended) at the Idaho Statehouse and in Washington, D.C. where she also worked on policy to improve Idaho’s roads for non-drivers.

Cynthia’s favorite place in Idaho? That special campsite in the mountains where she can relish the clear night sky after a great day of mountain biking.
