The Pack River has been monitored since 2012, with the location being adjusted in 2021. This is an interesting station, as much of it is dry during the winter months when the lake levels are lowered. What used to be an area rich with wildlife habitat, has essentially been turned into a mudflat due to erosion from the changing water levels.

Beginning in the winter of 2023/2024, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game is conducting the second phase of a restoration project near this station, with the goal of creating a number of islands and deep water areas to improve fish and wildlife habitat.
