Garfield Bay Station

The Garfield Bay station has been monitored every year since 2012. This bay is surrounded with houses, and is home to several community docks and a boat launch. 

This area is served by Garfield Bay Water and Sewer District, which collects wastewater from the area’s septic systems and eventually applies it to the land nearby. While there is no direct discharge to the lake, monitoring here would let us know if there were ever a problem such as sewage pipe breakage or over-allocation to the land, which could lead to polluted runoff.
