The Snake River is the lifeblood of Southern Idaho. While essential to Idaho’s economy, the Snake River ecosystem is also a fantastic place to recreate! To celebrate amazing areas all along the Snake River, ICL is hosting a Snake River Adventure Photo Contest throughout the month of June. 

Here’s how it works: 

• Choose one adventure from this list of ICL’s Snake River adventure blogs:

Hiking in the South Hills

Kayaking Pillar Falls from Centennial Park (note that Pillar to Shoshone Falls is closed for quagga mussel monitoring)

Hiking Malad Gorge

Kayaking or Paddle Boarding Blue Heart Springs

Hiking Box Canyon

• Plan your own adventure to this location. Don’t forget to check local closures and boat check stations!
• Take scenic pictures! Feel free to edit and stylize, focus on plants or animals, capture adventure buddies—whatever brings out your creative side!
• Send photos to lblack@idahoconservation.org with one sentence about your favorite part of your adventure!
• A winner will be announced on Monday, July 1st.

What’s in it for you (besides a rad adventure, of course):

• A chance to be featured on ICL’s social media, blog, or website (regardless of where you finish in the contest)
