Salmon advocates across the Northwest are uniting across the region to show their support for salmon and urge NW leaders to breach the four lower Snake River dams. This year, supporters will be joining flotillas rallies on rivers throughout Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Flotillas have been used for decades as a way to protest the Snake River dams that have placed wild salmon on a path to extinction.
Join us for a float down the Boise River on August 7th at 12pm to stand up for salmon. We will be launching our boats and floaties at Barber Park at noon. Arrive beforehand with plenty of water, sun protection, and your personal floating supplies. There will be a limited supply of life vests and float equipment available for rent. Shuttle services will be available every hour from Ann Morrison Park to Barber Park. Thank you to Maravia for providing rafts and life jackets.
If you’re not interested in floating, feel free to join on your bicycle or walk the greenbelt instead!
Sign up through ICL’s registration form to reserve your spot!
The float will take approximately two hours, and we’ll be meeting in Ann Morrison after for food, drinks, and advocacy opportunities. A huge shout out to Lost Grove Brewing and 10 Barrel Brewing for supplying food and beverages.
