Join Idaho Conservation League, Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness, and Idaho Fish and Game at the amphitheater at Round Lake State Park to learn about identifying black and grizzly bears, best practices while out recreating in Idaho, and how to avoid a bear encounter.
This will include a bear spray demonstration, and bear spray will be available to purchase ($15).
Whether you’re a homeowner, farmer, rancher, recreationist, hunter, or public land user, it’s important to take steps to minimize the risk of unwanted conflicts with both black and grizzly bears.
All ages are welcome! But, we will be discussing bears and bear encounters which may be unsuitable for young kids.
Note: There is a $7 parking fee at Round Lake State Park without a park pass.
